The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (The St. John Conference) is a student organization of St. John's University which does direct service to different communities in Staten Island and within the St. John's Community.
The International Society was founded by Frederic Ozanam in France in 1833. It exists to compassionately serve the most basic needs of the worlds forgotten, the deprived and suffering, in a manor that will restore dignity and self-respect.
We have existed on the Staten Island Campus since 1998 and have been an instrumental organization here providing several services and opportunities to the financially poor, the poor in heart, and the poor in spirit.
